Riverside School
Riverside School is located in Antrim and has worked in a Shared Education Partnership with St. Joseph’s NS & Steeple NS for the last 6 years. The schools work collaboratively to deliver a programme to children at Nursery and Primary 1 level.
The partnership has demonstrated significant impact at pupil and teacher level throughout their Shared Education journey. Regular Joint Practice Development takes place across the organisations. Teachers share expertise, experience and learning on a regular basis in order to improve the learning experience for pupils.
The partnership has a strong connection with the community and regularly invite parents to participate in shared events which celebrate the learning of the pupils. Parental support for the partnership is strong and it has helped embed programmes across the schools.
Cathy is currently the Shared Education Coordinator for the partnership and is also responsible for leading a local Cluster in the area of Joint Practice Development (JPD). She has been responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating and transforming the practice that has been ongoing across the three schools. Cathy is an experienced member of the school leadership team and brings a wealth of knowledge to the shared webinar.
