Part 1

What are the skills and capabilities that our pupils need to demonstrate and develop?

This section aims to provide a useful starting point to the module. It takes a learner-minded approach, putting the needs of the pupils at the centre of teacher professional learning. The presentation below seeks to help teachers focus directly on the pupils in front of them and to consider what particular skills and capabilities these young people need to develop further so they can achieve to their potential. Teachers are encouraged to revisit and make connection to the Thinking Skills and Personal Capabilities Framework, and the Inspection and Self Evaluation Framework (ISEF).
